Cyber Recovery and data recovery after loss, damage or encryption

Secure recovery after loss, damage or encryption, focused on business continuity: first we assess what can be recovered and what is at risk, then we act.

What is included

  • Feasibility assessment before intervening
  • Recovery from backups, snapshots and replicas
  • Data recovery from damaged devices and storage, or with deleted files
  • Recovery after ransomware encryption when technical routes exist
  • Integrity verification of what is recovered
  • Backup and recovery plan so the loss does not repeat

This is for you if

  • You lost information to a failure, a deletion or a damaged device
  • Your files are encrypted and you do not know what can be recovered
  • You need to restore operations without anyone tampering with the original data

How we do it

  1. Assess and preserve

We check the state of the media and the backups, and preserve the original before touching it.

  2. Recover

We run the recovery on copies, in the order your operation needs.

  3. Verify

We check the integrity of what was recovered and document what could not be.

  4. Prevent

We adjust your backup strategy so the next loss does not stop you.

What you receive

  • Feasibility report
  • Recovered data with integrity verification
  • Inventory of what was recovered and what was not recoverable
  • Backup and continuity recommendations

Frameworks and methodologies

  • ISO 22301
  • ISO/IEC 27031

    Incident investigation and ransomware response

    Problem
Intrusion and encryption incidents called for reconstructing access, understanding how the attack spread and guiding response actions.
    Results
    • Timelines of access and propagation documented.
    • Findings on impact and exposed controls.
    • Containment and hardening recommendations.

Services offered / delivered

  • Incident response and infrastructure forensic analysis
  • Ransomware and lateral movement investigation
  • Correlation of logs and indicators

Context

This group brings together investigations of affected infrastructure and response support, with the evidence and limits specific to each incident.

Documented interventions

  • Analysis of logs, account activity, connections and tools associated with the incident.
  • Construction of timelines and cross-checking across systems, sources and indicators.
  • Documentation of impact and recommendations for containment, recovery and improved controls.

Documented results

  • Traceability of access, propagation and control exposure was provided in the cases investigated.
  • The reports distinguished documented facts, indications and recommendations for the response.

Scope of the result

We do not claim full recovery, restoration times or losses avoided without evidence. Attributions of ransomware family or authorship that are inconsistent or inconclusive are left out.

Methodology

Forensic analysis of logs and artifacts, temporal correlation and documentation of evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try to recover the data myself?

Avoid writing to the affected disk or machine, do not run recovery tools on the original and ask us first. Every extra attempt can reduce what is recoverable.

Is everything always recovered?

No. It depends on the cause, the state of the media and the existing backups. That is why we start with a feasibility assessment that tells you what is possible before we intervene.

How is it different from incident response?

Incident response contains and clarifies the attack; Cyber Recovery focuses on getting your information back. With ransomware they are usually run together.
